Ingredients
- 125g butter
- 50g light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 175g porridge oats
- 250g chopped nuts
- Finely grated rind of orange
Directions
- Grease a 7 inch square shallow tin
- Heat the butter, sugar and honey in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir with a wooden spoon until the ingredients have melted together. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the oats, nuts and orange rind. Mix well and spoon into the tin. Pressing down lightly.
- Bake the mixture in the preheat oven (180ºC) for 25 minutes. Leave to cool. Easing the cake away from the sides of the tin by the sharp knife. When cake is cool, cut into bars.
